NEW! Travel the World (kids 8-11 years old)
with Pam Koeber-Diebboll
Two different days available
Come visit different parts of the world and explore all kinds of art with us! Kids will travel the globe from Ghana to China, Australia to Canada, Mexico to India, and still be home in time for dinner. We will be experimenting with pointillism, using symmetry to create mandalas, creating stamps and patterned cloth, and much, much more! Each week teaching artist Pam Koeber-Deibboll will introduce a representative artist from each culture for reference and lead the students in a project. In addition, we will discuss the issue of “cultural appropriation” and consider methods for being respectful when experimenting with art processes that have significant importance for native peoples.
This class is for children 8-11 years old of all skill levels. There will be different projects/cultures covered in each section, so feel free to sign up for both! There is a materials fee included in the tuition for this course.
