With so many color options out there, how do you actually make sense of which ones to use and how they work? How do you get that relaxed, confident flow when painting with watercolor? And what brushes give you the best bang for your buck?

Most of what you’ll learn about color and value in this course applies to any painting medium—and honestly, figuring it all out on your own could take a lifetime. That’s why this course is designed to walk you through everything step-by-step. We’ll cover why values are so important, how to tell different colors and paint types apart, and how light affects your painting—all while encouraging your own unique style to shine through.

If you already know a bit but feel like there are a few holes in your knowledge, this course will help connect the dots. It’s built for students who want a strong, solid foundation to really get going with watercolor. Materials are not included; here is a suggested supply list.

This class is scheduled to be in our print studio, which is only accessible by stairs.
