Garrison Art Center

Spring may be just around the corner, but why wait to brighten your day? Lift your spirits and embrace the beauty of flowers in this fun and creative workshop. You’ll receive all the materials needed to create your own unique picture of a vase full of beautiful flowers. Collage artist Candace Winter will guide you through different techniques for mark-making to create your own papers, sharing tips to help you design your very own mini-masterpiece. It’s the perfect way to add a little color to your winter days! 

We will have some art materials available for participants. Please feel free to bring any personal collage supplies you would like to use.  Participants will receive a 10% discount for a future Garrison Art Center class.  This workshop for adults and mature teens of all skill levels is done in collaboration with Matcha Thomas and will take place at their storefront at 179 Main St in Beacon, NY. 

Matcha Thomas is a wellness teahouse for all, created to be a place for everyday serenity, marrying café charm with spa-like ambiance and offering clean caffeine to the community through an entirely green tea based menu. We’re guided by Japanese tradition, hand-whisking every cup of ceremonial-grade matcha, and inspired by seasonal flavors and cultural crossovers to craft our artisanal menu items.
