Drypoint Etchings with Watercolor
with Eliza Fichter
$220
In this printmaking class, participants will learn the iterative and flexible process of drypoint etching. Drypoint, a form of intaglio printmaking without acid, is a method by which the artist draws into a surface with a needle or diamond point. Participants will gain a working knowledge of drypoint methods, working with plexiglass surfaces along with experimental recycled materials such as milk cartons and takeaway containers. Students will also get a chance to add watercolor to etchings and incorporate color. This class is for adults and teenagers of all skill levels and includes 2 hours a week of open studio time.
We believe art should be accessible to all. Financial assistance is available for those that qualify.
