Garrison Art Center

In this workshop we will be focusing on the resist technique, Japanese Shibori. We'll be exploring a variety of folding and binding techniques to create intricate patterns. During the class, you'll have the opportunity to experiment and produce a range of patterns in indigo.

All participants will receive one tea towel to dye. Please bring additional washed fabric or items such as pillowcases, scarves, or clothing made of cotton, silk, linen, hemp, rayon, or a blend of these materials. Please make sure that all fabric or clothing is washed before you bring it to the class. 

This workshop is for adults and mature teens of all skill levels and all materials are included. 

We believe art should be accessible to all. Financial assistance is available for those that qualify.
