Garrison Art Center

In the Watercolors Turbo class, students work on varied drawing and watercolor techniques, from wet-in-wet to dry-brush, from loose watercolor sketches to detailed studies, boosting technical skills and brush techniques, while they progress into painting realistic landscapes and seascapes. This class is ongoing, exposing new aspects of painting as students progress, and is open to students who have already taken The Building Blocks of Watercolors or are intermediate-level watercolor painters. Land and Sea: This session expands on knowledge acquired in Building Blocks (or similar experience) and is meant for the more accomplished artist seeking to fill gaps in their nature watercolor renderings. It covers Composition, Accuracy of measure and hand-eye coordination, Glazing, Mediums, Perspective, and Setting Moods.  Students will work from reference photographs.

There is no class on May 12.

This class is scheduled to be in our print studio, which is only accessible by stairs.
