Creative Happy Hour: Feeling Groovy
with Candace Winter

Dot painting is the art of making dots in different sizes in a pattern. Mandalas are seen as symbols of mindfulness and can represent personal growth, self-expression and the universe. The creation of repetitive patterns within a circle is used in meditation and quieting the mind. You will be guided in this art form by teaching artist, Candace Winter, to create your very own beautiful Dot Mandala on a record! Not only will you be bringing your beautiful artworks home, but you will take away a new skill to meditate and create art that you can do on your own at home with inexpensive accessible supplies. Whether on paper, rocks, or up-cycled DVDs, dot art is a wonderful way to create beautiful art and gain focus. All supplies for the evening are provided for each artist to create Dot Mandalas on vinyl records.
Each Creative Happy Hour features a professional teaching artist leading a project, drinks (wine and non-alcoholic), and a chance to be creative in a special place. When possible, our galleries will be open during this event, so you also have the opportunity to take in the latest exhibition. No previous art experience is needed, just the desire to relax and have fun!
This workshop is only for individuals 21 years of age and older.
